Which CD/Mp3/cassette database do you recommend?

Postby justking81 » Sat Aug 12, 2006 10:49 pm

Hello, gang!

I'm new to the forums, but I've occasionally popped onto the website everynow and then just to look around.

I was wondering how/if any of you catalog your OTR shows? I have found a few through a link on one of the pages here, plus I looked around at www.download.com and www.zdnet.com. They had some music programs, but they were all trial versions. I was hoping to find some freeware. Any recommends out there? If it helps at all, my collection is probably an even split between CD & cassette, plus 1 mp3 disc.

Thanks a bunch!

Justin

Justin -

Since your collection has a lot of cassettes, you might consider using a spreadsheet program (such as Microsoft Excel, or whatever came with your computer).

You can then design your own data fields, and type in the data.

The MYCAT program, although a bit old, is a bit more sophisticated, and is designed for OTR collections.

If you had a lot of MP3 files / CDs, you might like the freeware cataloging programs found at
