It is not clear if the plays were adapted from stories written by John Taylor or if he produced the radio series. A book of the same name by Mr. Taylor was available from BBC Books (first edition, 1993). The shows stared Simon Callow as Sherlock Holmes and Nicky Henson as Dr. Watson and were heard on BBC Radio Five. Who, or what, could have done it? 28 Feb, 1993 3 "The Paddington Witch" What was left of Saul Ransome's body was cooked like meat and black as coal. But Garth Ransome is saying his brother was bewitched - that it was Bess that witched him. 7 Mar, 1993 4 "The Phantom Organ" On the night that Hugh Hembury was killed, someone nailed a note on the church notice board: "Now is the hunter hunted. H H shall be first." 21 Mar, 1993 5 "The Devil's Tunnel" A young woman disappears from a train as it speeds through a tunnel. 28 Mar, 1993 6 "The Battersea Worm" The Tower was Angel Holland's fortress, impossible to climb. The only way to Holland's room at the top was by the passenger elevator, the lift. Holland was murdered in that room and Dr Watson was the only person who had used the lift that day.
